We’re here to tell you that you’re not alone and
you’re in good company.
Your health is important. If you broke your arm, you’d go to the doctor wouldn’t you? Or, maybe you have allergies that you take meds for. In either case, you don’t try to handle it yourself. You see a doctor. Same goes for your mental and emotional health. We’ve been there.
We put this site together to help you understand and get through the complicated mental health system. You’ll also find information on the other child-serving systems in Monroe County like, education, probation (juvenile justice), foster care (child welfare), Child Protective Services.
It can feel as though no one understands you or your situation. It can feel lonely. We know because we’ve been there. This site has been created for youth with youth. The voices of the youth council members from SWAT (Spreading Wellness Around Town) have approved all the content in this site, including writing and editing much of what you’ll see.
