Community Care Pilot

Community Care is a NEW program that helps and supports families with issues related to their children and is in pilot form within three locations - SouthWest Area Neighborhood Association, IBERO American Action League, Inc. and Center for Youth.

Support is provided by a Parent Resource Expert (PRE) who receives training and is a parent themselves.  They know the neighborhood and have experience with children who have emotional and behavioral challenges.  A PRE knows how to get help for families and their child… assistance in talking to teachers, the pediatrician, or answering questions on child behavior or problems at home or school.

Community Care is available at the following locations:

  • Center for Youth, 905 Monroe Avenue – Jamiylah Miller, PRE @ (585) 473-2464 X133
  • SouthWest Area Neighborhood Assn, Inc. (SWAN), 275 Dr. Samuel McCree Way – Antoinette Watkins, PRE @ (585) 436-8201 x248
  • Ibero-American Action League, 817 E. Main St. – Maggie Burgos, PRE @ 256-8900 X42
