The "Hear & Now Herald"

Welcome to the final issue of the herald!  Rest assured that the Monroe County Children's System of Care is here to stay event though the "Hear & Now Herald," what was the venue for the voice, vision and values of the Monroe County Children's System of Care, has come to an end.

The purpose of this publication was to provide a vehicle for sharing information, recognizing the hard work and good work of those in System of Care, and for keeping people, agencies and systems connected around the System of Care movement in Monroe County.  But now, the partners in the system of care will take responsibility for communicating progress and accomplishments as the system transformation continues its expansion.

Before I sign off on this final newsletter, I want to recognize and acknowledge an amazing team with whom I have had the privilege to travel with on our System of Care journey.  Their day to day dedication has been critical to making the work happen and continues to inspire me.  My thanks go to Kathleen Plum, Neilia Kelly, Heather Starks, Jerard Johnson, Annette Powell, Marilyn Molyneaux, Susan Gilchrist, Melanie Funchess, Debbie Bartlett, Chuck Allen, Todd Liddell, Lenora Reid-Rose, Steve Fielding, and Melissa Weber.

Please be sure to read "The Feature Story - A Report from the Project Director: "The End is Just the Beginning: The Grant is Over but Monroe County Children's System of Care is Here to Stay"" which highlights details from the grant's final report including the changes, accomplishments and the status of the Monroe County Children's System of Care.
