2010 ECCO Award Winners
Monroe County System of Care Wins "Silver" in ECCO Awards at 2010 Training Institutes "New Horizons for Systems of Care"
The 2009 "Thriving in Our Community" Children's Mental Health Awareness Day Conference was submitted in this year's ECCO Recognition Program (Excellence in Community Communications and Outreach) which showcases and celebrates outstanding achievements in communication and marketing by system of care communities.
Of the more than 60 entries only 21 were chosen as finalists among seven different categories. The conference was one of three finalists in the Partnership Development category. This particular category focuses on ways in which a system of care has worked within partnerships to help meet and support its communications goals.
This was the first time Monroe County submitted its work for an ECCO Award and the Silver placement was welcome recognition, at the national level, for the work the community has done using partnerships to further awareness and education around issues and progress in children's mental health.
